Surrogacy is not as difficult as you think and by choosing an agency and a clinic that has a surrogacy programme, it can be a much smoother process.There are often a lot of questions that people may have around this topic and one of the most common one we hear is ‘is surrogacy illegal’. To clear this up – its completely legal and a completely acceptable route to parenthood in many countries. Its true that some countries do not allow surrogacy, but here in the UK and in the US its very safe and legal. There are some extra parts of the process that you will need to undertake for legal parenthood and welfare of the unborn child, but these are easy to navigate and your clinic will help you.
